Rosslyn Chapel is just a short drive from Edinburgh. This unique 15th-century chapel is renowned for its intricate carvings and rich symbolism and achieved worldwide fame more recently due to Dan Brown's novel, 'The Da Vinci Code'.
From there we head further south, uncovering tales of the infamous Border Reivers, raiders who roamed the volatile lands along the Scotland-England Border.
We will visit Abbotsford House, the beautiful home of one of Scotland's most famous authors, Sir Walter Scott. The house is set in beautiful grounds and stuffed with antiquarian curiosities. A highlight is Scott’s magnificent library.
